Watermelon Day

Did you know that August 3 is set aside for watermelons? I didn't!
Go grab yourself a juicy slice of watermelon or make your own watermelon popsicles.
All you need is a seedless watermelon, a blender and a popsicle mold.
Puree chunks of watermelon in a blender and pour into a popsicle mold and let it freeze for several hours.
That's all you need for your own yummy frozen treat!

Now check out some neat watermelon products at Zazzle.

New Project

I've got a new project I'm working on. It's going to take quite awhile before I'm ready to launch it.
A lot of people from Zazzle are incorporated into it, and I really hope it is a success.

Here are a few new sales I had recently.

I'm Home! A Long Update, and Some Pictures. :)

I'm finally back in Michigan! I wasn't able to get on the Internet until we got settled in. We ventured up north for the Memorial weekend and we just got back home last night. The blog will be back to its normal programming. :)

Getting back here was a nightmare. I've told you all over and over again I have a problem with procrastinating...
Well, it took forever to get everything packed and out of the apartment, but we did it. I barely had any sleep throughout the whole weekend! The day before I moved I made sure I got to Elk Grove like I said I would to get those elk pictures. Here's one on a postcard so far. I'll be working on more.

And with the rest of my time, I had to make sure everything was ready in the apartment to move.
Here's the apartment after we moved everything out.

After we got the truck packed up we had to go straight to Dan's International graduation.
Everyone had to give a short speech upon receiving their credentials. I got a shot of Dan talking.

After graduation it was time to hit the road. Everything's packed and ready to go!

We got everything moved into the garage Friday and by Saturday evening we were up north.
We relaxed for the most part, but we got some fishing in, too. I didn't have much luck, but Dan caught a Pike.

Since I wasn't catching any fish, I took some pictures. Here's one I added to a postcard. I'll do more with this later, too.

I had a nice little chunk of sales as well. It's nice to forget about it and then come home after a vacation and see them!

Some Chicago Fun

I've spent the past two days hanging around downtown Chicago. I am tired, haha! Yesterday I ventured over there with my friend Melanie to get lunch and just hang around. You can see all the photos I took with my phone on my Twitpic. Mel and I ended up eating sandwiches at L'Appetito. Very delicious. :) On the way we watched this street performer. I saw a guy making a video of him. It'd be nice to find it on YouTube or something.

EDIT// I found a couple videos of him here and here. They aren't from the same day, but it shows his act.

I ended up traveling there today with Dan and a few of our friends for Jen's birthday. We walked all the way down Michigan Avenue to eat lunch at the Cheesecake Factory. It was mine and Dan's first time going there and it was ahhhhhmazing. I had the four cheese pasta with chicken. Afterward we walked down Navy Pier and just hung around the lake for awhile. It has definitely been an eventful weekend and I'm glad I got to spend all that time down there before we move this weekend.

I had a couple of sales today while I was gone. :)

Just Hanging Out

I have seventeen more days until I move. I have nine more days until I'm done at the theater.
The time is going by so fast. I've been anticipating the end since the beginning, but now I don't feel ready. I really need to get this packing thing started.

I've been enjoying Dan not going to work after training. We have a lot more time to spend together.
Yesterday we headed over to Nana's for a quick lunch before visiting my friend Bianca to see her new puppy Sirius. We left from there over to visit the Elk in Elk Grove (picture on my Twitter). I'm going to go back around there sometime within the next week with my digital camera to get some good shots of them. We walked around the preserve there until it started getting dark out. After all that I talked Dan into running over to Woodfield Mall to buy him some new pants. He protested at first, but I think he was happy to get himself a new pair of pants.
I also promised him we'd go to Menards if he cooperated. We walked around that store forever and ended up walking out with a flashlight and some AAA batteries. The night ended with dinner at Dapper's. It is one of our favorite restaurants and we hadn't been to it in quite some time.
Now today is just another day of work. It's only for a few hours, thankfully.

I'm going to share a few sales and then I'm signing off for the day.
