Getting Off Work

Just got home from work a little while ago. I'm glad I had the day off yesterday and not today because it's snowy outside. Yesterday was a beautiful day, I even got a sunburn! We were able to come up with some money to go out to the Byron Dragway and watch all the races. I have this video that I took but the quality is bad because it was on my cell phone but I think I'd like to share it with you all anyway. Before you watch it, please turn down your volume because it is very loud.

I received my button that I bought from hmx_23 (to support the 3-Day Breast Cancer) walk the other day. It is very beautiful and I love the way that it came out. I have it on my name tag for work!

On the subject of fundraising, I'd like to share this website with all of you that I found the other day. It is called The Bread Art Project. It is sponsored by the Grain Foods Foundation to help increase the awareness of the growing hunger problem in the United States. They are trying to help end hunger by donating $50,000 to Feeding America. In addition, they are donating $1 for every piece of Bread Art this is submitted, THIS IS WHERE YOU COME IN! It's easy, free and fun. This is my contribution to the cause:

It is a picture of Danny and I at his senior prom and then I added some flower decorations to it. That is all I had to do to donate $1! If you feel like you'd like to donate more you can always make a personal donation to them here. If you decide to make your own bread art, please comment with a link to your art. I would love to see what you all come up with!

I work again tomorrow, and then I am off until Friday. I'm kind of disappointed about not having a lot of hours this week but I suppose I could use that time to get my taxes done!!
Danny is finally home with our pizza, so I'm going to go eat dinner now, have a nice night!

Hi Jasmine - I represent the Grain Foods Foundation and the Bread Art Project, and just came across your blog as well as the comment thread in the forums. Wanted to let you all know that the site IS open to residents outside of the US (just leave the location field blank; its optional). Hope that helps clear up the confusion, and a sincere thank you for the support, we're glad the site is getting such great feedback!
