I came across Katie's Krops from a Yahoo article. This girl started off with one seed at the age of 9 and grew her own 40 lb. cabbage that she donated to a local food shelter. Watch this video about Katie's story and how she's fighting hunger.
Katie is truly an inspiration to everyone. She can't do this all alone, though. If you would like to help her organization check out their wish list and see what needs to be donated. Her goal is to have a garden in all 50 states that will go straight to people in need. I sent a message over to Katie to tell her about Zazzle to help raise money for the things they need. I would definitely buy a Katie's Krops shirt. :)
