It's been a long week but the weekend is finally here. I get off at 6 this evening, though I have to be there at 10:45 in the morning. I also have Saturday off. I have some time to spend with Dan and some friends.

Back to Reality

I'm back from vacation! We got home on Monday night around 10:30. It was a very nice weekend, but it was definitely too short! We just hung around outside a lot. We went fishing on the pontoon boat, had fires, roasted marshmallows, barbecued. :)

I sold a bunch of Zazzle products on my associates account over the weekend, but it only let me view one of the products. I'm guessing it is all from the same Zazzler (almedic104) but I am not sure.

My little brother has recently started creating and uploading videos on YouTube. He does those "Let's Play" videos where he plays video games to show others how to play it and he talks along with it to keep it interesting. He currently only has videos for Zelda: Ocarina of Time.

BBQ and Warm Weather

My phone broke yesterday, and it wasn't my fault at all! I went to go answer a phone call and it just broke in half. I was so angry, especially because I don't have the money to pay the deductible on my insurance for another phone. Dan and I took it to Verizon today and they replaced it at no cost. I guess they already knew the phone had a dysfunctional hinge.

Today Dan and I went with Nicole and Steve to the Cosley Zoo.
We just finished eating dinner with them. We barbecued ribs, macaroni and mashed potatoes.

Oh! And I sold these two products on Friday. I was very excited. :) It's a second sale for the shirt, first sale for the postcard. Thanks for the purchases.

Productivity!

When I was finished with work at 6:00 last night I went straight home and walked to the park with Nicole. I was on a mission to take some photographs of the geese and their babies there. I had a really hard time because they are really protective with their babies around. I was jumping a lot because they kept hissing at me when they noticed I was too close to their babies. A lot of my pictures didn't turn out that great, but I'm glad I tried. I haven't brought my camera out for a photo shoot in awhile. I started making a bunch of products in my store with the photographs last night.

Danny and I were going to go home for the weekend tonight, but I guess we're going to stay here and just hang out with Nicole and Steve. I'm still having a hard time deciding, but I think we're making the right decision. We have to drive all the way home and then north for the next weekend to go to Dan's grandma's cabin for Memorial Weekend. It's probably just best to stay here, get some stuff done and save some money before going on our vacation. I'm really looking forward to it.

I work all night tonight. I hope I can get out as early as possible. This is going to be a lonnnnng day!

Rain, Rain, Go Away!

Well, Nicole and I were going to go for a walk today and take pictures but now the weather is really yucky. :( It's raining and I guess it's supposed to thunderstorm all day. She will probably still come over, though. I'm cleaning my apartment right now and getting ready to do some laundry. I actually got this weekend off of work without even asking for it. It was a very nice surprise to see that on the schedule. Hopefully the radiator gets here in enough time so Dan and I can go back home for the weekend!

I also wanted to share this website I came across by SweetRascal in the Zazzle forums last night called Angel Food Ministries.
It is an organization that provides food for those who are struggling financially in the United States. When you go to the website, type in your zip code to find a host site and browse through the selections and choose the location closest to you. Once you've done this, you can order one of the boxes online and then pick it up on the date that is given. There are different things to order depending on what you need. The first item on the list is the Signature Box. It is $30 and the menu changes monthly. Here is the menu for May:

Getting Ready to Make Dinner

Yesterday and today were my much needed days off from work, thank goodness. Dan and I spent the day together yesterday. We walked around a lot because we really can't drive the car with the hole in the radiator. We walked to Subway together to have lunch. Afterward, we went to Walgreens because Dan needed shaving cream and we bought ice cream cones for the walk home. We also picked up Bedtime Stories at the Redbox. I thought it was a really cute movie. Dan and I enjoyed it. I also sold this postage stamp of a photo I took of my old cat awhile ago.

After I woke up today I called Nicole and we went walking around, too. We went to Subway for lunch and then walked around a subdivision close to our apartment complex. We went to a park over there and saw a bunch of geese with their babies. I'm going to try to go back and take some photos either tomorrow or the next day. Ever since I saw this poster I've been really excited to take some baby geese photos.

On our way home we passed by a huge lilac bush and I picked a bunch to put in a vase at home. They make the living room smell so nice. It's dark now and I don't have batteries for my camera, so I'll take a picture of them tomorrow or the next day.

I'm off to go make dinner. We're having spaghetti tonight. I'm surprising Dan. We don't have any food in the house because we have no money until we get paid, but he doesn't know we have spaghetti. :)

I'm Ready for a Break!

I'm just hanging out at the apartment and getting ready to take a shower to go into work today. They called me this morning and asked me to come in and stay for the whole day, but I told them to find someone else. Eleven hours is just too long of a day, especially when it's last minute and you're not even expecting it.
Before I went to work yesterday, Nicole and I went to go see Ghosts of Girlfriends Past. It wasn't as bad of a movie as I really expected, but I wouldn't pay to go see it. Has anyone else seen it? What did you think?

Dan is getting better now, though he still has that lingering cough. He starts school again on Monday. I can't believe it's already been like four weeks since he got really sick.

An Exciting Day!

Just came home from work to discover that Zazzle now has pet clothing! I'm so excited to start making designs on the new product. :) I also got let home early from work, another plus. Now, the only thing left to make the night perfect would be a victorious win from the Red Wings tonight. They just tied it up in the first period, hopefully they can keep it up!

EDIT// And so the night is perfect. We won, 6-3. Woo-hoo!!!!

Exhausted

I've been picking up a lot of hours up at work, thankfully. My Zazzle check just got mailed yesterday, too, which is always a nice little bonus. Dan and I had to buy a new radiator for the Honda yesterday from Ebay. It's been smoking like crazy and we need to get it replaced as soon as possible. I was worried about coming up with the money for it since we're kind of broke right now, but it was only $70 and I put it on my credit card. I'm glad I got one for emergency purposes!

Watching the Game

Dan and I are just relaxing and watching the Detroit Red Wings game.
We just finished dinner a few minutes ago. We had this delicious parmesan crusted tilapia from Sea Cuisine and corn.

I'm finally picking some hours up at work. I don't have a day off until Sunday. I can't wait to have some time to relax and catch up on some chores. Hope everyone had a great weekend.

Relaxing at Home

Cell Phone Tapping

While I was reading through the Zazzle forums last night I came across a post from AGSale37048 about cell phone security. This is a video from an Indianapolis news station (www.wthr.com).

Tapping Your Cell Phone

Subtle signs that may indicate your cell phone is being tapped:

• Cell phone battery is warm even when your phone has not been used.
• Cell phone lights up at unexpected times, including occasions when phone is not in use.
• Unexpected beep or click during phone conversation.

Please be careful with what information you give over any telephone, not just your cellphone. Especially credit card information.

Here is a summarized list of tips on how to protect yourself provided from the article:

• Keep a close eye on your cell phone so that others never get an opportunity to download information such as spy software when you're not looking. It's important to install a security password on your phone to restrict anyone else from using it.
• High-end cell phones that include internet access and online capability are particularly vulnerable to Spyware tapping. To limit the ability of others to download certain types of spyware onto your phone, choose a cell phone that is not internet-accessible.
• Remove the battery from your cell phone when it's not being used and, for sensitive phone calls, make them on a newly-purchased cell phone that comes with a pre-paid month-to-month service plan.
